Terms of Monthly Donation

Q: What am I agreeing to in getting a t-shirt with my monthly donation?
A: As the donor, you are agreeing to support Stronghold Rescue & Relief and our mission for a minimum of $15 per month for 12 months. In addition, you are given the option to cover the processing fee.

Q: Once I’ve made an online gift, how can I make changes to the gift?
A: Per the instructions when you enter your payment information, you can login to your donor account on our website to edit your donation at any time.

Q: Will I receive verification of my donations for tax purposes?
A: Yes. Upon signing up to become a donor, an email receipt will be sent to the email address you provided. This receipt can be used for tax deduction purposes. In addition to this initial receipt, every donor receives an annual donation statement in January of the following calendar year in which they donate. This annual donation statement shows the donor’s contributions throughout that year. If you become a donor through a physical check, we send this annual donation statement to the address on the check.

Q: Are the t-shirts tax-deductible?
A: Yes. Considering the $15 monthly donation minimum, the t-shirt is fully tax-deductible. If you have any questions, we urge you to consult with a tax advisor as we do not assume any responsibility for any tax-related issues with the reporting of your donations.

Q: When will my credit card first be charged?
A: If you are a monthly donor, your card will be charged immediately upon donation. For the recurring donations, your card will be charged on the same day each month that you made your initial donation. If you sign up monthly and prefer to have your funds pulled directly from your bank account, then please note that this may take three to five days to process.

Q: Is there a certain minimum number of months that the donor must commit to?
A: When you sign up to become a monthly donor you are committing to a one year minimum. For example, if your first donation occurs in February, we expect a commitment to donate through January of the following calendar year. While we understand that there are extenuating circumstances that may affect this minimum commitment, we rely on the commitment of our donors and appreciate their honoring of this commitment.

Q: Do I get a t-shirt if I make a one-time donation?
A: No, t-shirts are only for donors who commit to a monthly donation.

Q: What size t-shirt am I getting?

A: Donors have the option to select the size of their t-shirt. The sizes come in small, medium, large, extra large, and double extra large.

Q: For monthly donors, what is the refund policy?
A: Should you choose to cancel your monthly donations after your one-year minimum, we will be able to refund the donation of the previous month only. You must notify us ten (10) days before the next scheduled donation in order to cancel your recurring donation for a future month. If you fail to notify us ten (10) days before the next donation, then you will only be permitted to cancel your recurring donation at the next monthly donation.

Q: For single time donors, what is the refund policy?
A: Donations are normally nonrefundable, but if you have made an error in making your donation, please contact us. After the single donation, you have a thirty (30) day period to contact us regarding your error. After the thirty (30) day period passes, all donations are permanently nonrefundable. If upon contacting us within the appropriate thirty (30) day period, we determinate that an error was made, then a refund will be given using the original method of payment.

*T-shirts are available to U.S. residents only. Non-U.S. residents who choose to become monthly donors are not entitled to receive a t-shirt.
