In early 2025, a Burmese doctor set up a clinic in the jungle to provide urgent medical care, after the Burma Army launched airstrikes on civilians in a remote area Karen State.

Cut off from the city and unable to purchase additional medical supplies, the medical staff at the jungle clinic quickly ran out of medical supplies and had to turn away patients in desperate need of care.

A Stronghold team (led by an American special operations veteran) visited the jungle clinic and saw the urgent need for supplies. The Stronghold team ran a supply request up the chain of command, and funding was approved to purchase a truckload of medical supplies for the clinic.

Once the medical supplies were prepared, Stronghold sent a small team to make the delivery. They traveled two days round-trip on rough, remote roads to reach the hospital and support its life-saving work.

The hospital continues to treat patients effectively, thanks to the delivered supplies and the dedication of a few nurses and a single doctor.

This relief mission was only possible because of Stronghold’s supporters. Thank you.
