Ukraine

Over the last few months, Stronghold’s efforts in Ukraine at the beginning of the invasion to train Ukrainian medical personnel and deliver re-usable emergency medical supplies to the frontlines began to pay dividends.

Ukrainian medics trained and certified by Stronghold’s teams treated and extracted an estimated 1,500+ combat casualties on the frontlines.

These extremely high numbers are due to the fact that several of the Ukrainian units Stronghold worked with later experienced a 50%+ casualty rate when sent into battle.

Burma

The Burma Army’s genocidal attacks on ethnic minorities in Burma have continued and increased over the past few months.

Medical personnel in Burma trained and supplied by Stronghold have treated an estimated 100+ casualties in the past 3 months. This number is a low estimate as it is very often impossible to receive reporting from remote locations in the jungle where some of the violence is taking place and communications lines have been cut.

Afghanistan

It’s been one year since the US withdrawal from Afghanistan and as larger humanitarian aid organizations are finally being granted access into Afghanistan, Stronghold is winding down our involvement in the country to redirect our resources to regions where much less assistance is being provided.

The families we helped to leave Afghanistan are all relatively safe, but many continue to face the challenges of moving to a new country while others are still stuck in limbo waiting on the U.S. Government or other nations to process their paperwork. This will continue to take some time.

One of the Afghan families we extracted wanted to thank all of Stronghold’s supporters for helping them escape the Taliban. They also sent a photo to show everyone the new clothes they were able to buy for the kids with the help from Stronghold.
