Stronghold Provides Medical Support in Israel

A Letter from Stronghold’s CEO

On October 7, 2023 the world watched as Hamas terrorists launched a genocidal attack on the people of Israel.

The Hamas terrorists raped and slaughtered more than 1,200 Israeli citizens — all while laughing and cheering and proudly broadcasting their evil for the world to see.

After the October 7 terrorist attacks, I made the decision to lead a team from Stronghold Rescue & Relief into Israel on a short-term mission to provide medical assistance and aid to the people of Israel.

We focused our medical efforts in the north of Israel where Hezbollah terrorists continue to fire rockets into Israel and send small teams of terrorists across Israel’s border to test Israel’s security.

During the 6-week mission, the Stronghold team provided medical training in 29 locations to 684 Israelis and gave out 590 medical kits — each packed with nearly $100 worth of medical supplies.

Stronghold also created an emergency response ambulance, outfitted it with advanced life-support systems, and donated it to an Israeli community under direct rocket fire from Lebanon.

During the mission, Stronghold’s personnel experienced dozens of Hamas and Hezbollah rocket attacks as we stood with the people of Israel in their time of need.

The most common question we heard in Israel was, “Why are you helping us?”

As public opinion swiftly turned against the Jews — as it has done countless times throughout history — the Israelis couldn’t understand why non-Jews would leave their homes and families to help in Israel during such a violent and dangerous time.

Every time I was asked this question, I simply responded that this is what Stronghold Rescue & Relief does: we stand with and serve innocent people under attack.

At Stronghold Rescue & Relief, we don’t run away. We risk the same bombs and bullets aimed at the innocent people we serve, and we will never apologise for helping those in need.

To the Israeli families who opened their homes to my team and I, we cannot thank you enough. It was an honor to serve you and your people.

To Stronghold’s supporters, thank you for making our life-saving work possible.
